Officials from the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission visited Embilitiya yesterday to carry out investigations into the recent death of a youth in the area following a clash.

Officials carried out inspections and recorded statements presented by eye witnesses.

Meanwhile, senior police officers in Embilitiya are to be summoned to the HRC on Thursday to obtain statements.

On Monday, an interim report on the incident was presented to the Inspector General of Police by Senior DIG Wickremaratne.
