Minister of Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said that the progress of discussions between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation will be presented at today’s Cabinet meeting.
The IMF delegation met with President at the President's Office yesterday, focusing on Sri Lanka's economic recovery. During the meeting, the President pointed out the need for a balanced approach that addresses the hardships faced by citizens and restores public trust. He also called attention to critical issues such as child poverty, malnutrition, and support for the differently-abled.
The IMF delegation, which arrived in Sri Lanka on November 15, initiated discussions with the Ministry of Finance on November 18 regarding the third review of the IMF program in Sri Lanka.
