The registration process for newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) will begin today.

Secretary General of Parliament, Kushani Rohanadheera, said that the registration will continue tomorrow, with a special counter set up in Parliament to collect the required information from the MPs.

All MPs elected in the 2024 Parliamentary election are required to provide their details for official records.

Additionally, a special workshop for first-time MPs will be held on November 25th, 26th, and 27th.

The inaugural session of the 10th Parliament is scheduled for November 21st, at 10:00 am, during which a new Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Deputy Chairman of Committees will be appointed.
Following this, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will deliver the new government's policy statement at 11:30 am.
