International news agency Reuters has reported that former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is expected to travel to Thailand tomorrow (11) seeking temporary haven in the country.
Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s visit visa to Singapore is to come to an end tomorrow and the decision as to if the Singaporean authorities will extend the visa or not is likely to be announced today.
The Singapore government had previously allowed Rajapaksa to extend his stay short stay visa in the country for another 14 days after he fled Sri Lanka three weeks ago.
The former president is expected to leave Singapore and go to Thailand's capital Bangkok on Thursday the news agency has said.
