Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Delegation Visits Sri Lanka

November 25, 2024

A ten-member delegation from the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) arrived in Sri Lanka on 24 November 2024 for a six-day visit aimed at strengthening economic and trade ties between India and Sri Lanka. The delegation, which represents a diverse range of sectors, will visit key locations including Colombo, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya.

The delegation’s visit is part of the “Voyage Sri Lanka” event organized by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB). The event focuses on promoting trade and investment opportunities in the maritime sector. During their stay, the delegation will meet with representatives from the EDB, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), and leading Sri Lankan chambers such as the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ILCCI).

In addition to these meetings, the delegation will engage with prominent corporate entities, including the Capital Maharaja Group, and other key stakeholders in the Sri Lankan business community.

A significant highlight of the visit is the promotion of the upcoming Global Village 2025, an international exhibition to be held in Surat, Gujarat, from 25 to 27 January 2025. The event will serve as a platform for businesses to connect and explore collaboration opportunities across various sectors.
