Considering the dwindling condition of the country due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, UAE’s flydubai has decided to continue closely monitoring the situation on the ground even after suspending operations to the country. Besides, the airline plans to contact and offer a refund to the passengers who have booked to travel on the suspended flights.
United Arab Emirates carrier flydubai has suspended operations to Colombo in Sri Lanka until further notice, a spokesperson for the budget airline said.
“We will continue to closely monitor the situation on the ground in Sri Lanka. Passengers who have booked to travel on these flights will be contacted and offered a refund,” the spokesperson told Reuters.
