Financial Crimes Investigations Division arrested former Minister and former LTTE Eastern military commander Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman over the misuse of state vehicles.

Karuna appeared before the FCID this morning to give a statement over the allegation.

He was a former member of the LTTE before breaking away. Later he joined the SLFP and was a minister in the Mahinda Rajapaksa government.
