Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam states that he will never allow room to anyone to misuse the voucher system introduced to school uniforms. He added that corrupt activities related to 

school uniform voucher system were diverged recently. Hence the government takes every measure to avert all possible mishandlings. The Minister said that the voucher system has resulted save huge sum of money as it has helped to cut various expenditures. The government has allocated 2500 million rupees for the voucher system. 

The Minister stressed that investigations will be open to investigate the corrupt activities where school principals and officials are engaged in.
