The interim police report on the recent death of a youth in Embilipitiya was handed over to the IGP today.

The investigations are being carried out under the supervision of Sabaragamuwa Senior DIG of Police C.D. Wickramaratne. 

Police sources said that the report has raised serious concerns over the conduct of the Embilipitiya police regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, relatives and other witnesses have raised allegations of cover-up by the police.

The police earlier claimed that the 29-year-old jumped from an upper floor of the house where a party was being held on January 4. However, relatives have refuted this allegation.
