PM Arrives In China

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived in Beijing, China, for a three day official visit. He heads a 15 member delegation. This is the first official trip by Wickremesinghe to China after January 2015.

Workers at the Hambantota salterns staged a protest today, demanding they be paid a new year bonus as it was common practice in previous years. They alleged that they are to be deprived of their bonus this year.
