The well known drug smuggler Samantha Kumara alias ‘Wele Suda,’ who was arrested in Pakistan and brought to the island recently, is reportedly spilling the beans on those who helped him in his smuggling.
Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that Wele Suda has already revealed several names in his confession and Police will be investigating his claims.
Meanwhile a local newspaper said the Police was on the lookout to prevent six such individuals from leaving the country, according to inside information from the Police Department. It also added that two of them are politicians and four others are leading administrative and security officials.
It has been revealed that Wele Suda, who operated from abroad, has sent at least 1000 kg of heroin to the island from 2012 onwards.
