UNP Former General Secretary and former Health Minister Tissa Attanayake has left for Singapore early this morning.
Attanayake had been accompanied by his two children.
Attanayake, apparently, was not under investigation by Bribery Commission and that was why he was allowed fly out of the country freely, airport authorities said.
However, the United National Party alleged that there was a ‘financial transaction’ behind Attanayake’s crossover. However, no formal complaint lodged with the Bribery Commission in this regard.
Meanwhile, sources close to his family said the former Health Minister left for Singapore for a holiday and would return to the country in the coming days
