China has extended an official invitation to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

Speaking at the weekly Cabinet briefing, Jayatissa confirmed that the Chinese Ambassador had formally presented the invitation to the President.

He noted that the President's first official visit is planned for India in the third week of December, although the exact dates are yet to be finalised. Following the India visit, the President is expected to travel to China.
