Professor W.M.T Madhujith has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced the appointment, which will be effective from August 1, 2024, for a period of three years.

The appointment was made in accordance with Section 34(1)(a) of the Universities Act, as confirmed by the President’s Media Division (PMD).
