The Government of India has announced the lifting of the export ban on onions for Sri Lanka. According to a notification from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, up to 10,000 metric tons of onions can now be exported to Sri Lanka. This decision comes just in time for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivities, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
