Finance State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya expressed cautious optimism regarding the possibility of vehicle imports next year, contingent upon an improvement in the country's economy. Speaking at a media event in Dematagoda, Minister Siyambalapitiya highlighted that Rs. 13 billion was allocated for the recent increase in state employee salaries, totaling Rs. 107 billion for April.
Additionally, he announced the commencement of a program on April 21, providing ten kilograms of essential goods to 2.7 million families for April and May, aiming to support over half of Sri Lanka's total families.
