Railway commuters along the Coastal Line are facing delays from Friday (29) through Sunday (31), as confirmed by the Department of Railways. The delays are attributed to the restriction of railway operations to a single track between Wellawatte and Colombo Fort railway stations. This limitation is due to pipeline maintenance conducted by the Urban Development Authority (UDA). However, the Department of Railways assures that normal train operations on the Coastal Line will resume after Sunday night (31).
