In a display of solidarity and cultural exchange, Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Kenya, Kana Kananathan, organized an Iftar ceremony and dinner for the Sri Lankan Muslim community in Kenya. Held at a prestigious restaurant in Nairobi, the event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including General Shavendra Silva, Sri Lanka's Chief of Defense Staff. General Silva's attendance highlighted the government's commitment to diversity and fostering connections with overseas Sri Lankans.
The initiative was praised by community members as a testament to Sri Lanka's dedication to its expatriate population. Both General Silva and Kana Kananathan reiterated Sri Lanka's core values of inclusivity and solidarity.
