NWSDB Warns of Potential Water Restrictions Amid Arid Weather

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has issued a cautionary advisory amidst the ongoing arid weather conditions, urging the public to conserve water resources.

Anoja Kaluarachchi, Deputy General Manager of NWSDB, emphasized that if the current dry spell persists for the next two months, water supply may need to be regulated on a rotational basis.

Despite reassurances of adequate water reserves at present, Kaluarachchi stressed the importance of prudent usage to preempt any shortages. While no restrictions have been imposed yet, Kaluarachchi urged citizens to report any supply issues via the 24-hour NWSDB hotline at 1919.
