SLPP MP Dilan Perera says an elitist group that infiltrated the Aragalaya caused it to fizzle out. “People left the Araglaya due to the actions of a political party and elitist group carrying out an aimless program,” Perera said. According to him, the people did not leave the struggle due to President Wickremesinghe’s repressive tactics. 

Perera also said the same group has now hatched a plot to prevent the implementation of the 22A. “A conspiracy is in play to defeat this by the same elitist group I mentioned earlier,” he said.
