A T-56 weapon and two magazines with 60 rounds of ammunition taken away by protestors from a soldier injured during yesterday's protest at Polduwa, Battaramulla, the Police Media Division said.

The Police Media Division said measures are underway to trace the weapon and apprehend the perpetrators.

The incident took place while a group of protestors staged a protest near Parliament seeking to capture the parliamentary complex.
