Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said approval was given to all the private bunker fuel companies operating in Sri Lanka to import and provide the necessary diesel and fuel oil requirements of industries to function their generator requirements and machinery. 

The decision was made following a discussion the Minister held with private bunker oil suppliers yesterday. 

Wijesekera said this decision would ease the burden on CPC and the burden on fuel stations.
