TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s conduct in Parliament was shameless.
Sumanthiran made this remark after the Prime Minister voted against suspending Standing Orders to take up a motion expressing displeasure with the President.
Sumanthiran said Wickremesinghe, when he was in the opposition, vetted the draft of the motion.
“He wanted to send it to Galle Face and get the consent of the protestors as well,” he added.
“The only thing that has changed at this point is that Wickremesinghe has got a job, as the Prime Minister.”
“He has sold his principles for this job,” Sumanthiran said.
