MPs leaving Parliament after today’s sessions were blocked by protestors who demanded greater commitment from all parliamentarians to resolve the crisis.
Opposition MPs Harin Fernando, Manusha Nanayakkara and Hector Appuhamy were caught by protestors who were blocking a rear entrance to the parliamentary premises.
A heated argument broke out between Fernando and some protesters at this point.
Protestors maintained that none of the MPs should be allowed to leave the House until they work to resolve the current crisis.
