Police have targeted tents where food items were stored for protestors gathered outside the parliamentary premises. 

Our reporters said the water cannon attacks were directed at the food tents aiming to destroy the food items collected for the protestors overnight. 

A large number of people donated these food items for the protestors near Parliament since the wee hours of Friday. 

Eye-witnesses said a lot of food items stored in the tent are now destroyed. 

The protests outside Parliament are led by the Inter-university Students Federation.
