Tense situation in Galle Face protest site was reported following a group of riot police personnel was deployed in front of the entrance of the Presidential Secretariat. The deployment of the Riot Police caused a heated verbal exchange between the police officers and the protesters. The Riot Police personnel had been arrived in a truck with battons. After the protests of the people against them, the police truck left the site. According to the Police, the Riot Police was deployed as a precaution while the protesters are trying to set up a stage in front of the entrance of the Presidential Secretariat.
