Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa visited the Abharamaya temple in Narahenpita and met Muruththerruwe Ananda Thera.

The discussion took place while a number of members in the ruling party have called for the resignation of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.

Commenting on the meeting, Ananda Thera said the discussion was nothing new and the Prime Minister is a regular visitor to the Abhayaramaya Temple.

“He is a grateful leader,” Ananda Thera said commenting that he knows nothing about a crisis. Ananda Thera supported Rajapaksa's comeback bid following the latter's defeat ar rhe presidential election 2015
