President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has invited all parties represented in parliament to unite to form an all-party interim government.

The President has also sent a letter to party leaders requesting the same.

The main opposition, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, the United National Party, and former constituent parties of the government including the Sri Lanka Freedom Party have also been invited for this.

It is learned that the President has summoned government ministers and MPs to the President's House tomorrow (28) afternoon and will discuss the matter with them.

The President has invited all party leaders to visit the President's House tomorrow (29) to discuss the matter.
