President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has agreed to form a all-party interim government following requests of Mahanayaka theras of tri-nikayas, the Colombo Archbishop, other religious leaders, political parties and civil society organisations.
The President said so, sending a letter to party leaders of the government.
He has further noted that discussions should be held to determine about forming an interim government after resignation of PM Mahinda Rajapaksa and current Cabinet.
According to the letter, the President invited the party leaders in the government for a discussion on Friday (29), at President's House, Colombo 1.
