Former Executive Director of the Consumer Affairs Authority Thushan Gunawardena said a certain Cabinet Minister had used 18 vehicles of the Ministry for his personal use.

"They sell the vehicle permits given to MPs and ministers and buy luxury vehicles for the Ministries. And then they exploit them," Gunawardena said addressing a press briefing in Colombo.

"When these blatant acts of corruption and abuse of power are revealed, they take revenge from the people who reveal them," he added.

He also said that the only thing the ministers do is engaging in daylight robbery and they are the ones who destroyed the economy.
