Activist Anuruddha Bandara, who was abducted by a group of people claiming to be from the Modera police station, is currently being held at the Modera police station.

The OIC of the Modera police initially denied that such an arrest was made.

However, the police later confirmed that the youth was held at the 'Crime Division' of the Modera police station when the matter was raised by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka.

Upon further inquiry, the police have stated that the youth will be produced before court this afternoon.
