The Supreme Court today issued an interim injunction restraining the implementation of the Cabinet decision to hand over a house on Paget Road in Colombo to former President Maithripala Sirisena.

The Supreme Court also said that the interim injunction was effective for four weeks from today.

The petition was heard by a three-judge bench comprising Justices Preethipadman Surasena, Mahinda Samayawardena and Yasantha Kodagoda.

The Center for Policy Alternatives filed the petition.
