Opposition MPs in the fuel queues are also hooted at due to the conduct of the government, SJB MP Hesha Witganage said,

Speaking in Parliament, Withanage said all politicians were facing the wrath of society due to the actions of the current government.

"Even MPs are unable to purchase fuel. Ministry Secretaries cannot even send their drivers to fuel stations," Withanage said while responding to Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama. He said they were getting boed at simply due to the fact that they were politicians.

"Today there are no buses on some roads. People in many remote areas of Ratnapura are suffering without buses. Especially school children are facing immense hardships due to this problem," he said.
