Steps have been taken to deploy troops at Ceypetco filling stations.

The Army spokesman said that these steps were taken to monitor the fuel distribution activities.

The decision was made following a number of unruly incidents were reported near fuel stations as a large number of people lined up for hours to purchase fuel.

The prevailing fuel shortage in the country has enraged the public as the Government has failed to devise a meaningful solution to the foreign exchange crisis.
