Lohan Ratwatte has been sworn in by the President as State Minister for Warehouse Facilities, Container Yards, Port Supply Facilities and Boats and Shipping Industry Development.

Ratwatte resigned as State Minister of Prisons following a fiasco at the Anuradhapura prison. He was also accused of visiting the gallows at the Welikada prison allegedly with a "beauty queen."

Ratwatte came under severe pressure to resign from office after the two incidents.

However, he contiued to hold his other state ministerial portfolio.
