Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila and Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara, who were removed from their portfolios, did not attend today's meeting of the ruling party group of parliamentarians.

The meeting of the ruling party group was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at Committee Room No. 01 of Parliament.

The six members of the National Freedom Front led by Wimal Weerawansa, Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera, Tiran Alles Gevindu Kumaratunga and ALM Athaulla were not present.

Sri Lanka Mahajana Party MP Asanka Navaratne and a group of Sri Lanka Freedom Party MPs had participated in the meeting.
