Ministers Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila have been removed from their ministerial portfolios.

Dinesh Gunawardena has been appointed the Minister of Industries replacing Weerawansa and Gamini Lokuge has been appointed the Minister of Energy.

Pavithra Wanniarachchi has been appointed the Minister of Power - the position previously held by Lokuge.

The development took place after Weerawansa and Gammanpila made critical remarks on the conduct of the government at a public event in Colombo yesterday.
