A proposal to increase fuel prices will be presented to Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila again today (14th), said Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Chairman Sumith Weerasinghe.
He said that due to the increase in crude oil prices in the world market, the CPC would incur a loss of Rs. 16 per liter of petrol and Rs. 50 per liter of diesel.
He said that he had submitted a proposal to the Minister in this regard on the 7th.
The Lanka Indian Oil Company has already increased fuel prices, but the CPC is yet to make a final decision on the matter.
