A discussion between the striking health unions and the Minister of Health this afternoon (8) to find a solution to the ongoing trade union action ended inconclusively, the trade unions say.
As a result, the union representatives said, the strike would continue.
Eighteen health unions affiliated with the nursing and paramedical Services have commenced a continuous strike from last morning (07).
The trade union action was launched based on several demands including wage anomalies.
The strike will not involve cancer hospitals, children's hospitals, maternity hospitals, and kidney hospitals, and will not affect emergency and life support services.
