A mob has attacked the hostel of the Ragama Medical Faculty, the police said.

The police stated that the attack had been carried out by several persons who had come from outside.

Three university students who were injured in the attack were admitted to the Ragama Teaching Hospital and one of them was transferred to the Negombo Hospital, police said.

Police said one suspect had been arrested with regard to the attack.
