Senior administrator Gamini Senarath is tipped to be appointed the Secretary to the President.

He will replace Dr. P.B. Jayasundara who has tendered his resignation. Jayasundara’s resignation has already been accepted by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Senarath worked as the President’s Chief Staff during the period of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He is currently functioning as the Secretary to the Prime Minister. Senior administrator Anura Dissanayake is likely to be appointed the Secretary to the Prime Minister.
