President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has accepted the resignation of his Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundara, the Morning newspaper reported.

Jayasundara’s resignation will be effective from the first week of January.

The Secretary to the President came under severe criticism at the last Cabinet meeting over his conduct and attitude.

Following the meeting, Jayasundara, a well-known economist, has tendered his letter of resignation.
