SLPP MP Tissa Kuttiarachchi has received a Prado jeep for his personal use from the government, informed political sources said.

Kuttiarachchi openly stated that a number of MPs were facing difficulties as they did not have new vehicles.

The basis on which the vehicle was given to Kuttirachchi is not yet known. It is learnt that no other SLPP backbencher has been given vehicles by the government.

Before joining the SLPP, Tissa Kuttiarachchi was a member of the Uva Provincial Council representing the United National Party.
