Former star cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya said that he will not contest the upcoming Sri Lanka Cricket elections as reported in the media.

“I must state that all reports of my contesting the forthcoming SLC elections are false,” the former Sri Lanka national Cricket team’s leading batsman Jayasuriya tweeted.

A local newspaper reported that the incumbent SLC President Shammi Silva, Kangadaran Mathivanan, and Jayasuriya are going to contest the election.
