State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera, who is currently receiving treatment for Covid-19 virus at a quarantine treatment centre in Hikkaduwa, has denied reports that he used a herbal syrup named 'Rawana Paniya' for the Covid-19.

"I or any of my family members never used such a syrup as claimed by an individual," he said.

He also revealed that the particular person had tried to contact him through friends of him, but he had refused to talk him.

He was responding to claims by 'Ritigala Ayurvedic doctor', who had said that he had given the herbal syrup to cure the Covid-19 infection to State Minister Jayasekera.
