Ministry of Health issued a statement claiming that all dead bodies of COVID 19 will be cremated as per the advice given by "experts".

The Ministry also requested all parties to refrain from disseminating false news and disinformtion in this regard, for political reasons.

The Ministry stated that certain websites are creating fake news linking the names of some political figures to this issue.

The Health Ministry statement, however, comes as a disappointment to the Muslim community who vehemently oppose the policy of cremation of all COVID19-infected dead bodies.

The Muslim community has urged the government to act in accordance with the guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO) which recommends burial as a safe way of disposing of COVD19-infected bodies.
