A 70 year old male died at the Colombo National Hospital hospital brigning the COVID19 death toll in Sri Lanka to 74.

The Government Information Department said the patient died of Cardiac arrest caused by COVID19 related complications.

Meanwhile, the Army Commander said 435 COVID19 patients were reported today.

According to the Army Commander, all new cases are close contacts of existing patients.
