Government Information Director Nalaka Kaluwewa said he had a meeting with heads of all TV channels regarding the reporting of the ongoing quarantine activities.

"I requested them to change the way of current reporting of quarantine activities and to protect the privacy of the those who undergo quarantine," Kaluwewa tweeted.

"All heads of news divisions are in agreement," he added.

The Ministry of Defence also issued a statement yesterday requesting the media to protect the privacy of security forces personnel who have been tested positive for COVID19
