The Department of Labour is currently conducting a survey about private businesses affected by COVID19.

The owners of private businesses affected by COVID19 are requested to submit their details through the official website of the department.

The move comes amidst growing calls from the government sector requesting the government to bail out private businesses affected by the pandemic.

Sri Lanka is yet to ascertain the exact number of people who have lost employment due to the current lockdown.
