Sri Lanka has made it mandatory for those travelling in public to wear face masks.

The Police have been advised to take action against those not wearing face masks while travelling on roads. People have also been strictly prohibited from travelling without valid curfew passes.

However, there are multiple reports claiming that there is a shortage of surgical masks in the country due to increased demand.
